snd-usb-audio: probe of 5-1:1. usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice This is what dmesg tells me when I plug in the unit: I've tried to find some way to adjust the mixer settings of the SL-1 but to no avail. I'm running xwax ( ) which detecs some sort of input but judging from the visual representation of this input it's extremely low. The SL-1 is identified correctly by Alsa when I connect it, I can send output to it using aplay -D plughw:1, but for some reason I can't seem to get any audio input from it. Someone please pull a rabbit out of a hat and provide me with a magical answer :) Thanks for any help provided.I've hooked up my Serato SL-1 box to my eeePC 1000 running the netbook remix of Ubuntu 9.04.

Again any assistance is greatly appreciated, Thank you, I am now completely lost as to what else i can try to get the lateast version of VirtualDJ and Serato ScratchLive to work together. There must be a solution for this problem atleast i hope so and that it is not unique to me. I would really like to have both VDJ and Scratchlive work on their latest versions with my SL1. 2.3.1 is a maintenance release containing many bug fixes, read the release notes for details. I dont know if this is going to be an issue. Scratch Live 2.3.1 (Legacy) WHATS NEW Added in 2.3.1. Also i think i had to select serato new engine for the timecodes for it to work. and from here i think i got VDJ to work, however im pretty sure ScratchLive isnt going to work anymore.
